Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Monday and the day we pray for our leaders and also our veterans and all those in our current military, also our police and firefighters, and all others who work hard to keep us safe and secure and healthy. I must be truthful with all of you, our president really bothers me, but regardless, we are to pray for our leaders. First I ask you pray for President Obama and his family, along with all of our leaders in Washington and in our state houses and local governments. Please pray first for their souls, for their salvation, for if a man (woman) loses his soul, they have nothing.
Monday: Has The Time Arrived? 1 Have you noticed over the last say 10-20 years how things have changed in religion and in churches? When I was a child (back when the streets were still dirt) our family attended the 29th street United Brethren Church in Harrisburg Pa. I went to Sunday School and also Vacation Bible School. I learned a lot about Jesus and about helping others. One of the things I remember first was being taught about loving God and loving our neighbors. The church's services had plenty of good music, mostly by piano, organ, and the church choirs. And yes, we even had those children's programs. But it was all related to God.
2 Timothy 3 - For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away for the truth and turn aside to myths. (NIV)
Now I know we always have had cults and some leaders who would try and lead others down the wrong path, but I don't ever remember them being so open. Church doctrines have changed so that they, well that they are politically correct. Some church doctrines have said it is now ok for open and active gays to be preaching, and some say that abortion is ok. My dear brothers and sisters, over the next few days I want to point out to you just how wrong some of these things are. Do you know that even as I am typing this babies are being taken from the womb of a mother and put in trash cans? It is called abortion, and now if the new medical programs go through, our tax dollars will be paying for them. AND I DO NOT WANT TO PAY TO HAVE A BABY MURDERED.
A lot of pastors are trying to preach a "feel good" type of message and that it is ok to do this or that, even if it is dead wrong according to the Bible. Folks, if you really want to "Feel Good" about your religion, TRYING FOLLOWING OUR LORD JESUS. Walk in His light, try not to sin, repent, and live by the truth. So please pray for me as I talk to Jesus about this series of messages this week, called "Has The Time Arrived?" Follow it from day to day and let's see what happens. I will tell you this, it will be from the Bible.
Dear Father in Heaven, please be with us all this week as we start a new study on this subject You have pointed out to me. Lord, I want to feel good with You, and in following You. That is the Good News we need to spread, about Your love and salvation. Lord, be with our President, and I pray today for his soul and for the souls of his family. Lord, and for all of our leaders, I pray that they will bring all things to You before they bring them to us. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Friday: Martin Gets a Bath 5
Shout to the Lord, all the earth!
GOOD MORNING, my dear brothers and sisters, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord for another day. It is a beautiful, most wonderful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole, just beautiful. It is Friday and the day we pray for all who are working in the field of Harvest for our Lord Jesus. ARE YOU ON THAT LIST? You should be, you know! So pray for your pastors, pray for those singing the Gospel in your church choir and those on the road. Those working for the Lord in countries who hate Christians and also those working the streets of the United States, and remember those working in Washington DC where it seems like those running the country would like to put our Lord Jesus back on the cross. Brothers and sisters, Jesus was on the cross once for us, and now we need to "Take up the cross for Him".
Martin Gets a Bath 5: Well, yesterday Martin and Michael did get to the dog beauty parlor and came home looking great. Now if Martin stays out of the dirt he will look good for Sunday when I preach about him, and have him in church. He will also be with us in concert next Wednesday.

All week I have been talking about sin and being forgiven and then just sinning again, over and over it goes. Sin, get clean, sin, get clean... Yes, like Martin getting a bath and rolling in the dirt. Or like taking your car to the car wash, or washing it at home and then the first time on the road it rains.
Or a new example today is God covers the earth with a clean white snow, and we go out and plow the snow over, turning the dirt to the top, and then again God covers the earth with snow making it white again. I talked about sin and how we should repent, and then I talked about repenting first, before we ask to be forgiven. It is all in the Bible, you know, well, except for my stories of example on Martin and on the snow and also the car wash. But the stain of sin, and how we must repent and how Jesus will forgive us... it is the reason He went to the cross.
The other day before I talked about repenting, I had asked what we needed to do. I wanted the answer about repenting, and I got it from some. I also got a great answer from John Henry Riddlesberger, a dear friend and school teacher in Carlisle Pa. John did not just wear Jesus on his sleeve, he has Jesus in his heart. He said we should be praying more and more, staying in touch with Jesus.. While repenting was what I wanted then, my question for today was what should we do to be replacing sin, and John Henry's answer about praying is the best. We need to be praying more and more and staying in touch with our Lord Jesus. We need to be giving God Glory all the time. You cannot go out and look around without seeing God...
Yesterday I spent the morning in the Hershey Rose Garden, I had one of my antique Chevrolet El Cameos on display talking to people about the Antique Automobile Museum at Hershey Pa. But as I sat there in that beautiful garden looking at all the roses and other flowers I just had to remember the song... "In The Garden". How can anyone not believe in God who made this heaven and earth?
You have heard me talk about my "Rock of Hope" in our front yard. While my small flower garden with tomatoes growing in it needs weeded right now, it is still pretty. I like to go out and talk to Jesus there, a place to be alone with the one who forgave me and still forgives me when I mess up. And yes, I still mess up. My question, what should we do to replace sin, is simple to say, but we must always have Jesus in our minds and hearts, for if we put Him aside for just a minute, Satan will try and get you to sin, he really will. So to add to the words of John Henry, we need to be praying, and we need to be singing praise, we need to be just talking to Jesus like He is here with us, for He is. Talk to him when you drive, just keep your eyes open. It is safer to be praying to our Lord than talking on a cell phone or texting when you drive. The bottom line is we need to REPENT, PRAY FOR FORGIVENESS AND THEN PUT JESUS IN PLACE OF THE SIN... That is right, we need to put Jesus in place of the sin. Working for Him is a good starting place, living for Him in all you do... AMEN.

Help us to put You in our lives in place of sin, instead of calling on You just to forgive our sins or when we want something. Help us to have You as a Father and a friend, someone to be with, someone to walk with, to be alone with and in a crowd with. Father in Heaven, we worship You today and want to do it each day, not just in church for an hour, we want to be with You all the time. Help us as You forgive us, help us to repent and put You in place of sin. In the name of Jesus, Your loving Son and our Savior, I pray. Amen.
Please folks, if you don't go to church, find a good one, yes A GOOD ONE, that still preaches and teaches the word of God from the Bible, and brothers and sisters, they are still out there. Find one that shares their blessings as we all need to do. God has blessed us over and over again, we need to be sharing our blessings, Yesterday I stopped at the home of Harold and Anna Mae Goddard who had bags of fresh garden goodies for our food pantry. They indeed shared their blessings as they worked hard in the garden to raise it. I must tell you this, I saw something in their garden I never saw before, a Sunflower with over, listen to me, a Sunflower with over 3 dozen blooms on it. I have never seen one with more than one bloom. What a blessing... ok, time to go... love ya, dan.

Thursday: Martin Gets a Bath 4
Repent, and turn to God!
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Yes, family day, and you all are my family (just don't all come for dinner at once!). However, one family at a time is always welcome. Maybe we should have a get together for a picnic, I will think about that for next summer. Pray for families today. We all know a family or more that needs prayers. I want to offer up these families... Breneman, Saylor, Lehman, Lehman, Lehman, Davis, Lamparter, Bradshaw, Otto, Crockett, Orner, Mayeski, Wyslocki, Boyer, John Harris High School class of 59 family, Glenvale Church of God family, and of course the family of God.
Martin Gets a Bath 4: Speaking of Martin getting a bath, Martin and Michael will be heading to the doggie beauty parlor at 8 this morning.
Acts 3: 17 - Now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. 18 But this is how God fulfilled what He had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Christ would suffer. 19 REPENT, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20 and He may send the Christ that was appointed for you. (NIV)
You know, my dear brothers and sisters, the more you read the scriptures, the more you can get out of them. Each time I look at the scriptures God opens my eyes even more. If He would have opened them all at once I would have been so overwhelmed that I would not have been able to handle it. Yes, we need to grow in Christ. I confess here that over the years I have gone to God to be forgiven of my sins and sometimes I repented and, well, other times I just messed up on the repentance part of it. Oh yes, God forgives our sins, and we should repent, BUT WAIT A MINUTE. According to these words and what God is giving me this morning,WE NEED TO REPENT FIRST. Before we come to God to be forgiven of our sins, we need to repent. Do you notice in Acts 3: 19 it says, Repent, and turn to God. It could have said, turn to God and then repent. It is lined up the way it is for a reason. We need to repent first. I have told you this before and it fits in here so I will tell it again. I had one brother, just one, his name was Leonard and he was about 3.5 years older them me. One day about 7 years ago, Leonard called me and told me he was going to die. Of course, my answer was, hey brother, we are all going to die. He said Danny I have cancer and I was told I have six months to go, and then he said, I don't know if I am going to get into Heaven. I told him I would be up to see him within the hour. I went up and we sat and talked and cried some, we talked about his cancer that was just found and it was really bad. Leonard was a smoker, starting at the age of 14 and never stopping. We talked about the Bible and how mamma taught us about Jesus. My brother was not back to church since he was about 16, but mamma had laid that ground work. He had her Bible. We went over all the steps to heaven and we prayed for his salvation through Jesus. Then I had to tell him he must repent from sins, and my dear brother was living with his X wife and they had not been married again. I said, and I am telling you right now, we cannot live in sin, daily sin, that is the same each day, we MUST REPENT. I told Leonard that he needed to get out of this daily sin. Three days later (three day waiting period in Pa.) - Yes, three days later in the living room of their farm home, I married them. Two months later my brother was called home, he did not get the six months that the doctors said he would have.
Brothers and sisters, this is a very bold statement by me this morning, but the Bible tells us to repent. If we do not repent from our sins and we do not give up our sins, why then should we even expect our Lord Jesus to be cleaning us from our sins? If we are living in sin as my brother was by not being married to the lady he was living with or one of thousands of other sins, are we being forgiven? If your answer is yes, and I believe we are, did it do any good since we were sinning as we were being forgiven? Let me say that again... Did it do any good to be forgiven since we were sinning as we were being forgiven? So let's get it right, or at least try our very, very best to do it right. We need to get the horse ahead of the cart, so to speak. Let's do our very best to get it right. Lets pray.
Dear Lord, Good Morning to You. Please Lord, we want to thank You for forgiving us, and we want to thank You for our food, and clothes, and the air we breathe. We give thanks for the water, and for all the good things You give us. You have said You would supply our needs, but You do so much more. You heal our bodies and You heal our minds and You heal our souls... Help us to get it right and get to repenting first. Thank You so much, and Lord, please look at our prayer list for families and look first at healing and bringing together the family of God. Help us to repent and follow Jesus the way we should, and not just tell others. Let us go on living for You, and not just say we are a Christian, let us prove it to the world. Let us show others how they should live, but please Lord, let it begin right at home, in our very own home... In Jesus' name, Amen.
Tomorrow we wrap it up, we talk once more about getting rid of our sins, and tomorrow we talk about repenting from the sins and what we can do in the place of those sins.
